Boys On A Budget

Raising Gentlemen & Living Fabulous On A Budget

The Times They Are A Changin’

The Times They Are A Changin’

With so many changes happening in the world I thought, why the hell not switch things up and change the blog too. That is what I am doing.

When I first started this blog, I wrote it as a “let me share my budgeting secrets while living in a high cost of living area”. The results have helped hundreds of families navigate the waters of raising a family on a budget. This was finally blog that understood that you cannot feed a family of 10 on $2.50 a day when you live in Manhattan, San Francisco, or DC. Maybe in Small Town USA but not in the city (or suburbs). I was a new mom when I started this blog and was happy to share all that I had learned through trial and error. This was a labor of love for me.

As my family grew, so did the blog. I changed the name from Baby on a Budget to Boys on a Budget to better reflect my growing family. The name just worked and the message I was sending out to the world was still helpful to new & veteran moms.

I stepped away from the blog for a bit. Growing children placed other demands on me that greatly changed my availability to really invest in my passion. Add in a very demanding job that placed me in the hospital due to exhaustion and you have a recipe for disaster. It was time to recharge, refocus, and reevaluate my life.

Now that I have a better understanding of the world, myself, and my family – the idea of writing “just a budget blog” needed to be expanded. I want to share more with the world than how to save a buck. I want to help you save your sanity, save your money, and save yourself from following into the traps so many of us fall into – forgetting YOURSELF. I want to help you beyond the coupon cutting. I want to help you to focus on you. Don’t get me wrong, I am still going to share my budget experiences, but this blog is going to expand. I am excited to unveil this with you. Thank you for your support.
